Ingredients
-
1 c sugar
-
1 c water
-
1 12-ounce package fresh cranberries (I prefer Ocean Spray)
-
Southern Roots Sisters Cranberry Pepper Jam
Directions
We are going to follow the directions for the Ocean Spray fresh cranberry sauce by combining sugar and water in a medium saucepan. Bring to boil.
Add cranberries, return to boil. Reduce heat and boil gently for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. The cranberries will begin to pop and the sauce will thicken during this time.
Turn off the heat and add 1/4c of Southern Roots Sisters Cranberry Pepper Jam and stir until incorporated. You can add more or less depending on your level of heat desired. Cover and cool completely at room temperature. Refrigerate until serving time. Garnish with fresh orange peel if desired. Makes about 2 1/2 cups.
